These studies in color and pattern were made during the Intuitive Drawing and Painting Livestream Intensive using a series of prompts that were chosen at random. The prompts included instructions such as: paint pastel color blocks, draw a pattern with non-dominant hand, paint with black and white, draw spirals, paint tertiary color blocks, re-create a pattern in your vicinity, and several others. The intention was to explore color relationships and layering acrylic paint with mixed media. (Click on image for better view.)
